Can anyone tell me what is happening to my mushroom? it went back to normal in a few minutes. And is my Kenya tree dying?

when I had kenyas, they did that when they were dropping branches.

best way to describe it, turn chalky whitish. look at the branches, you may see themselves cutting off. then a few days later youll have tint new ones around.
I still find them in the most random places.

+1 on the mushroom eating, food probably got onto it and it ate it.
watch for a stringy mess coming out of it soon. (poo)

my kenya would go chalky on me ever couple weeks, but it never dropped any branches..only got bigger! lol
