Has anyone tested their RO/DI water for phosphates with a Hanna or similar meter? I recently got a Hanna Phosphate checker and tested the tank water (3 times) came back 0.00ppm-Note: running GFO & Carbon in reactors, tap water (twice) which came back @ 1.72 & 1.73ppm, refrigerator water (twice, which is run through a 5 micron sediment filter and CTO/2 carbon block) this was .15 & .13 ppm then I went to my RO/DI unit and decided to check it as well (twice, all the carbon blocks, RO element, and DI resin were changed 1 month ago along with the sediment filter be changed very frequently) and it's results were .07 & .05ppm.
For S & G's I defrosted some frozen brine shrimp in tank water, strained out the brine and tested that water, the results were startling as the meter returned a flashing 2.50ppm which means the phosphate level is higher than what the meter can test for.
With the data collected and some additional issues uncovered how do you remove all of the phosphates from the RO/DI water?

hmmm......i tested my mixed salt water and it was 0.00. never tested the ro/di.....i assume it's 0.00 if the mixed salt water was 0.00.
i'll test the ro/di tonight and see.
