Help with euro reef rc 180 ??

new tank could be part of it, does it have a gate valve on the output ? if so open it all the way, also your feed ump might be too strong, try dialing it back some

my skimmer likes to overflow when I add new filter socks

I run this skimmer. Open up the valve all the way. Slowly close it ever so slightly until your bubbles reach the level you want them.

bigsink, i dont know i tried everything, i have a mag 7 feeding it, i think its probably that i just put live rock and thats why my skimmer is going crazy...

Make one small adjustment at a time and let it sit for an hour or so then make another. I've found when I made too many adjustments in a short period of time then walked away after I thought it was set it would overflow a half an hour later.

feed pump is more then likely too strong, put a valve on it and dial it back some

neck is at the right height, by overflowing you mean it is filling the cup to quick ? open the valve a little more on the gate

is the gate where the water leaves or come insides the skimmer?
yea the foam rises in small sections over filling the skimmer..

the cup is suppose to fill up, not in a days time, the gate valve is where the water exts, make sureit is all the way open them make adjustments from there
