I added about 140 pounds of sand to my tank Tuesday or Wednesday I forget :X.

The water is still pretty cloudy even though I washed the sand, is there anything I can do to help it clear up or just be patient?

I have my return, 2 tunzes, and running a filter sock also.

Thanks for any help

Kent marine makes a product called clarity. It's harmless. It makes the fine sand particles clump into bigger pieces and get picked up by sock and skimmer real quick. Cleared my 220 when i set it up in about 3 hours. It will clear up by itself but if you want it quicker you can use that clarity.

I would not add any chemical to the tank...just wait for it to clear up on its own. Why add a chemical if you dont have to? You are going to have to wait for the tank to cycle any way, so why use chemicals to clear up the tank if you are being forced to wait regardless of whether the sand has settled and water cleared. Patience is very important in Salt water....wait for things to get ready by themselves, do not rush things or you might have problems.

You want to check the filter sock to make sure it does not get clogged.
