Loud pump!!!!!!!!

HI Need help have a Iwaki MD55RLT and it is loud. Its is in a cabinet mounted on a piece of plywood the size the pump. Suction side connected to a sump by soft tubing and a ball valve,dischange side has a PVC manifold on it. Any ideas to decrease the noise???? Pump works good it is used.

what kind of noise rattaling or hissing, if it sounds like rattaling lift the pump and see if the noise goes away, being in a cabinet multiplies the sound you could put a fiece of foam under its pedestal, just dont block the back or it will over jeat, if it is a hissing sound and you have unions its calvatation double check all the unions

All I can say is I have the exact pump and it's really quiet for an external pump. Make sure it's not touching anything, even barely as wood will vibrate a lot. +1 on putting foam rubber between pump and base of stand.
