So I have a Spectrapure RODI unit. It's probably time to change out the filters and the Di Cartridge since its been more then a year of continuous use.

Is there any benefits of going with Spectrapure replacement parts or can I use parts from Bulk Reef Supply? There is a big difference in price.

Also, for the DI Cartridge, do I need a new Cartridge or can I just replace the things inside of it? Thanks.

Generally all the cartridges are made the same just choose the right microns.

If your DI container is refillable then yes you can refill it if its not the make sure the next one you buy is so you can just refill it in the future.

I do like the SpectraSelect™ Ultra-High Rejection RO Membranes It must be the ultra high, not standard as they sell both
Guaranteed minimum 98% rejection or better.

I ordered from bulkreef supply as well, and noticed about double the PPM when the tap water is the same PPM. Most likely because standard membranes are 96% minimum, and 98% stabilized rejection rate.

The spectrapure does cost more, but it has half as much impurities. I only tested 1 membrane from each as I don't need to replace them often so there may be a margin of error and I got the defective one?

I will be going with spectrapure in the future, for the few dollars more, it lasts long enough to not be a consideration.

But keep in mind, the test results was a clear zero PPM for spectrapure ultra high consistently, and the BRS was 1-2PPM when brand new. Tap water is about 45PPM.

Yea I just ordered from brs this morning. I didn't order the membrane though since my Tds was still reading 0. Just got the sediment filter, carbon block and di resin.
