Jada remove the socks and add 1 koralia or 2 to the sump the Koralia will prevent from detrius collecting at the sump.

i did this and all the stuff that collected in the sump got stuck on the rocks lol. i do WC from my sump now so it get cleaned out every 2 weeks(siphoned, then wet vac'ed)

jada heres how i clean my socks. after they have been used, i turn them inside out and rinse them thoroughly till the color is much lighter. what i have collected 5 used ones then i throw them into the wash. no soap, just bleach, and vuala clean filter socks!

try the bleach first, if it works out that money saved :D lol and if not then the mesh is the way to go. sock dont last to long for me either, about 2 days efficiently, more then that and it overflowing.

I also had the same issue even after bleaching them. Had to go with a bigger sock altogether. Swapping socks out every two days was driving me insane.

Two things. One, I like the Special Blend a LOT. Just have to not overdose. What I do on my socks is take a razor knife and cut a small slit about 2" long. I wash mine in the washer too but just in case it clogs when I'm not around most of the water then runs out of the little slit I cut. The sock still gets really dirty so it's still catching 90% of the gunk but the slit is insurance for me.
