The difference between the 2 is that Reefs Creation is an approved vendor on MR and Rays Reef is not.

whats the difference between the regular mp40 and the es(ecosmart) what should i go with?

the ES is the newest model...better controller, more settings/options...easier to sync with other like units. I believe Saltwater Critters also had some older (new) mp40's still available, probably save a little $ over ES model.
