Thanks Joe, but that didn't help me at all..lol

I've kept them before quite successfully. It's just been a few years. I was looking to see if anyone that keeps them, knows a good reputable breeder, an actual name. If by google breeders you meant to do a search for breeders, I've done that. I still don't know who is actually worth buying from. I'm not going to spend all that cash and get garbadge.

Yes. Actual name: Dominick of Diamonds of the Reef, a vendor and co-founder of this forum. From the home page, click on the Marketplace link, and then his DOTR link. Also, please check out two great articles on keeping and breeding Seahorses that he wrote last year in Reefs Magazine, link also on the home page, then look for the articles in the back issues.

I hope THAT helps!!! LOL

fishtown usa has... i was there today, yellow $150, red $199
btw y they so expenisive?

Ha! It's called, "Whatever the traffic will bear." Some schmuck willing to pay that price, then, that's the price! (Yeah, guys, I do know what oceanrider charges -- same deal.)

I noticed that Leslie, the original poster, has "reptiles" in his user name. Perhaps he knows my good friend, Vin Russo, who is a well know snake breeder. Vin has been lucky enough to produce some new color morphs, and they command high prices. Same with Seahorses or any "collector" animal... got a new color... got a purple Seahorse with pink polka dots? LOL Sit back and name your own price!!!
