93G Build Help - Design?

We are thinking of possibly building a 93G cube (30 x 30 x 24 Corner-Flo Aquarium) reef. We currently have a 29G Biocube that is doing well but too small.

I like the cube tanks and that might be the way we lean since we do not have allot of floor space.

If we were to get the 93G cube/stand what options are out there to complete this setup. We would want to have a mixed reef of SPS, LPS, Zoas and maybe a clam down the road.

The following requirements are needed or no tank.
1. Low in electric consumption (shared circuit in the family room and our circuit panel maxed out)
2. We must keep everything within the stand (2 small kids that explore). This means top off reservoir, sump, skimmer, etc.

Equipment I have laying around to use.
- Dual stage Ranco temp controller.
- Litremeter III (for top off)
- ~30 lbs of LR in the bio cube
- Vortech MP10 (in the bio cube)
- 300W Titanium heater
- mag 5
- RO/DI system (Use now)

I need a sump, skimmer, T5 lighting? MH? LED? I guess I need some sort of hood as well, more LR (qty?), return pump, top off reservoir, plan to move from the Biocube to this tank.

Lets get some good ideas here and I may be able to pull this off.

Also what fish would I be limited to in this size tank?

Would it be suitable for tangs? Purple tang?

Im more of a nano guy but Ill start with the amount of Liverock. I would say that a 93 gallon system should have at least 90lbs. So at least 60 lbs more would be the answer to your question. i normally multiply the gallons by 1 and 1/2 but it isnt needed.... so 135 lbs or so.

If you want to keep everything enclosed in your stand than you would have to plan accordingly. possibly get something built a little wider than the tank itself or build it yourself. Its definitely possible if you plan it out.

i have the 93 cube. if you want to come check it out you are more than welcome to. fwiw, i have run it with 2x250w hqi's in ROIII reflectors, with 1x250w hqi with a lumenmax reflector (by far the best choice imho), and currently am running a bunch of crappy leds on it. also i have an mp10 that i use on it, but it falls off if you look at it too hard. right now i am running 2xmp40's but would probably just be fine with one.

hth.

Same here :)
93 gal cube, diy leds, 2x tunze 6055 + 1x 6025, heater 1x 250w J?ger, return pump Red Dragon 4.5, Protein skimmer ATI Bubble Master 250 (will be replaced with ATI PowerCone 200 as soon as they gonna be available - preordered) and Current 1/4HP chiller - this thing killing me! Basically can't complain about coned bills but the low power consumption equipment cost a lot :(

it all fits in my stand except i keep all the electronics (ac3, dc8's, vortech drivers, etc) velcroed or screwed to the back of my canopy and stand. as far as pics, i have none that are recent, but i think i half-assed a tank thread a while ago...

Do you have everything in your stand? Any pictures of your equipment setup?

Thanks
