Lets try to lighten things up around here! I dont know if this has been done before but lets all post pics of our tanks in its early stages and a current pic.. Let see how far your tank has come. I will start it off:

Thanks guys! i took these pics with my iphone. not the best quality. This tank has been running since April '10. It was an upgrade from my 10 gal hex which was running for 5 years. I used old water and some sand from old hex tank. First pic was taken a few days after setting up. The second was taken June '10. And last pic was taken a few day ago.. I noticed a lot of growth in zoas and the frogspawn tripled in size once upgraded tanks

Is that the same candy cane? It went from 2 to 12 polyps in 6 months? If so, what are you feeding?

yes sir..i have had that candy cane for a good 2 years with no growth.. my 10 gal hex was a really crappy system.. light was bad. did water changes once a month.. now since i upgraded i have leds running.. i do weekly water changes(esv salt). i dose daily keeping levels steady as possible(which before i never did--i didnt even own test kits for alk-cal). i also feed that faurin lps food and i feed live mysis. if you look everything has grown tremendously.. i think it has to do with the lighting.
