ok got around to setting up mt new frag /qt tank
i am getting rid of the 40 breeder and going to the custom king tank
frist pic is the 40 breeder and the rest are my new one

You should use fish tank silicone and not any other silicone to hold your baffles. They leah out chemicals into the saltwater. Fish tank sealant does not do that. And its arount 8 dollars a tube(for a caulking gun)

i have used ge window silicone for the last 5 years and 7-8 sumps later i have never had a problem with it sorry i really dont think it will leah chemicals in 5 years never had a problem but jmo

What type of rack and lighting are you using. I've been mostly using egg crates and 250w 20k metal halide bulbs in my frag tank.

6 bulb t5 4 blue and 2 white all ati bulbs
those rack i dont remember where i got the from
the new tank i dont know yet i come up with something to hold the frags lol

Lol I mostly use those asian tank divider holders and egg crates. Doesn't look that nice but it works. I think I'm going to switch to t5 in my qt tank. I like how you had more control of the bulbs.

i allways hate t5s i was a mh man from the start but after messing with them i will never go back to mh

I like MH better for deeper tanks since it penetrates better. But for my larger tank, I like the LED replacement. But for my frag, sinc i'm in the process of changing it to a lps and softie tank, i'll probably just change it to T5s. I still have some end caps and ballasts from icecap i can use. I just need to find some reflecters.

thanks have an over flow problem the it has a hole throw the back of it for the drain anybody have pics of the dunso drain going throw the back of there tank its making some much noise

this is my through the glass set up. see the air inlets at the top of the elbows. they do spit sometimes. but they stop the gurgle
