Scoly question

I have had some scolys for a while now. For the first month i had them i used to squirt oystereggs or rottifeast ant they would open up. I would feed them mysis and they would open all the way up and eat them fast. Now when i do this they just shrink their top and seem to eat much slower without sticking out their tentacles. My par are alk 9.0 mag 1350 cal 400 ph 8.25. I do 25% water changes every 2 weeks with esv salt. Po4 is undetectable. Any ideas why they dont open up anymore?

mine doesnt always open during feeding time as well. it seems to just open a tiny bit and suck in some mysis.. I do notice it wide open at 3:30am every morning when i get up to work.

Most LPS open their mouth or extend their feeding tenticles after the lights are out unless they are used to your feeding schedule. You can try feeding them an hour or so after your lights are off.

When I spot feed mine, I do it last after everything else in the tank has been fed. The food in the water column entices it to open. If I try feeding it first it takes way too much food.
