Ok. So I am keeping my 55 gallon tank. But I want it to be a bangin' tank. First off, I built a nice stand with nice molding; it has that ledge effect. Should I create the canopy to make the tank look like it is encased in it (which I love) or will that make the issue of lighting more difficult (due to the heat created from halides)? Second issue: I received a 200 gift certificate for Amazon.com (I wish it was ebay : /- I'd get more bang for the buck)- what ballasts should I buy from Amazon? Should I get pendants? Etc... All advice is greatly appreciated.
