How Many Leds For A 60g

I have a 60g cube. Doing Leds for it. How many white leds yall think I'll need for it. I plan to do SPS. I know most of yall is going to say dont do it, or go with MH or T5. But I dont want too. lol

Depends what kelvin you interested in achieving that's going to vary how many whites/blues you want

Well if he goes dimmable he can control the color temp that way. If it a 24x24x24 the you have 2 chouses from 24 whites and 24 blues to 18 whites to 18 blues . I would go with the 24 whites and 24 blues dimmable

Thats not enuf light for that tank Im getting a 120g 48x24x24 and doing a DYI led kit with 2-24 whites and 2-24 blues for that tank for sps

the softies and lps are doing fine with 24w and 24b. But your right about it not being enough for sps. thats why Im doing the cube. mostly sps is going in there

na the 120 i have alot of zoas and acans. 1 or 2 leathers and 2 caps

You may want to consider throwing in some Royal Blues into the mix. I have the Aqua Illumination SOL Super Blues with each module containing 8 - 3 watt White (Cree XP-G Series), 8 - 3 watt Blue and 8 - 3 watt Royal Blue (Both the Blue and Royal Blue are Cree XP-E series led's, AI also uses a proprietary optics system). IMO the royal blue makes a big difference.
