From the looks of it, it should be a MyReefsCreation skimmer. You should find the manual online somewhere. Not only do you need to find out how the plumbing is done, but you also need to know how much water needs to flow thru the skimmers body so it can work properly.

feed pump should be a 300-500 gph pump for a 55gal tank, attach the feed to the hole between injectors

big yellow blueline pump will take water from skimmer base at #2 and put it back in skimmer at #1

#3 returns back to sump, you use the gate valve to adjust the height of water in skimmer

If your main pump is big enough you can t off, to feed the skimmer, The other pump that you would need is for recirculating the water inside the skimmer, they recommend using a bluline 55 hh. and if your main pump isnt big enough you need to get a mag 5 to feed it.

If you plug the input between the injectors, and hole #2 you can run the skimmer with one pump.

If you do this the skimmer is no longer recirculating, which is fine, just less eficient.

After you plug the input between injectors and hole #2, you take the blueline pump, have it pull water from your sump, and the output from the pump goes to injectors, or hole # 1

Then the return from skimmer, #3, drains back to sump. It is best to have the skimmer elevated above sump so there is no back pressure on drain line. You want it to drain freely.

do what mellotank is recommending expecially with the dual injectors if u wanna run just one pump. this skimmer can handle a lot of flow and i like mine alot. you can just drop a pump in your sump and set it up so #3 is higher than your sump(the skimmer needs to be raised) just plum it with elbow so the exaust water flows freely back into your sump. also #3 is used to control the hight of the water in the skimmer, the more closed the valve is the higher the water will be

Also way too many 90 elbows between pump and skimmer. This skimmer works based on pressure, when you have 90 degree elbows all over the place you are creating tons of back pressure, decreasing the efficiency of the skimmer. You want as straight a run as possible from the pump output to the skimmer input.

Also make sure the air intake valves on the skimmer injectors are open all the way.
