snowflakes are ocellaris as opposed to picasso's and snocasso's which come from perculas. Just like the wyoming whties are ocesllaris, the platinums are perculas.
It's all personal preference but I prefer picasso's and snocassos.

This use to be 100% true but not anymore, Thw Wyoming Whites are the only ones that are truly occeallaris and that was a name given to them by the guy that bred them. The platinums could be either one now a days. There oceallaris also being sold as snocasso's and pers sold as snowflakes, so many people have mixed them up now so you don't know what you are getting unless you count the spines.

Question, out of the 2 which 1 will host a anemone quicker?

Sent from my iPhone using Reefs
That depends on the fish more than the type out of those 2. Other Clowns are more likely to host faster. Out of my pair only the male hosts anything and I just got this one 2 months ago, The female I have had for over a year now and hosts nothing.

JColon2: They are both great looking clowns. But please check out http://www.donisreef.com

Doni has some great looking and healthy clowns. Plus, when she ships them they are tiny (1" or less) and are so cute. My GF saw some of Doni's clowns, and made me buy a pair.

Although Doni's prices are no longer cheap, they are fair prices, and you can pick the exact clown(s) you want.

Doni's clowns are all Percs, from Ora Picassos.

I hope this helps you and doesn't just confuse you more.

I have purchased 3 clowns from Doni over the years, here are pictures.

Rookie: What I would give to purchase a pair of Doni's clowns. But I can't afford them. They are 100-150 each and 50 dollars for shipping. They are beautiful clowns. You have nice clowns. i was at an lfs and they had one picasso clown I could afford from ORA. It looked like a grade A, the back two stripes were completely connected on each side (that's grade A, right?) It was 60 dollars discounted. It didn't have black yet (black develops as they mature, correct?)

JR973: I would love to! I'd start a new tank for each pair lol

JColon: You are correct, they darken as they mature (some more than others) and that sounds like a "Grade A". The shipping is what kills it( but I live in Manhattan, and do not have a car, so I justify it by claiming I spend $20-40 on taxis to west side) $60 sounds like a good deal! Make sure the fish is healthy and eating.

Hi JColon,
I don't know where on Long Island you are, but there is a store in Suffolk County called Suffolk County Fish and Reef, who sometimes get great types of clowns (tank raised or wild). It is a small store, but the fish there are always in excellent shape and their prices are great. Plus, you can sign up with them and then you get a 10% percent discount off of every purchase. I bought my tank raised true perc there and I am still not sure what type he/she is. Based I what I researched I think he/she is either a misbar or a semi picasso. When I can post pics I will. Good luck with your decision!!

Update: Ok, I have decided that I love snowcassos lol however, realistically I can only afford picassos. Now the question is, do I keep the picasso clownfish (which appears to be a grade b) that I purchased from Will 8 days ago or do I sell the picasso I already bought and purchase a grade A picasso from the lfs. I like how my picasso has the blotchy pattern but I hate how it resembles a regular perc (with no touching bars) whereas the piccaso in the lfs has bars that look exactly like the picasso on the website link I provided.

It all depends on patterns.. Many ppl like b's more than a's.. Is it still a baby? Has any black grown in.. I bought 4 clowns from doni.. 2 snowcassos a bplus and a regular true perc.. I purchased in April and now my b is still a b with beautiful markings on one side but my normal is now a full blown A.. All stripes connect on both sides..

Basically what I'm saying is that the white continues to spread in many occasions!
