Hi,

I'm trying to get my 90gal going. I was running some test with different equipment etc, when I noticed salt creep on my two drain pipes. When I went to check I realized that they were very loose and came off the bulkheads rather easily! I used PVC cement to glue the spaflex to my bulkheads. It seems the cement is not compatible with the plastic???

Does anybody know what can use to glue these properly?? How are you guys attaching your spaflex to the bulkheads??

Thank you!!

Thanks guys for the quick responses!!! Noob the only thing is that it seems that the diameter of my flexspa is unique and doens't seem to fit around any of the pvc piping. I have tried several diameters (schedules) with no perfect match.

The super glue or silicone is sounding good to me.

boiling hot water and soak it in it, this will allow it to stretch some, this way it will be snug and no reason to glue it. it's a drain so really no pressure on it. plus if you ever need to get bulkhead out you dont have to cut tube, this is how mine is done

Ok please see pic below. This is the closest diameter I have to fit the spaflex. I guess with enough Teflon and a clamp might work? The one thing I don't like is that I have to go down to 3/4" bushing to do this.

Is the super glue or silicone not good enough of a solution??

Right but in order for the spa flex to go around the pvc as suggested I must go down in size.

I'd like to keep it at 1" all the way down. So that's why if I super glue or silicone I can it keep it all at 1".

Please let me know if this is good enough of a solution. If not I am not sure what other alternatives I may have other than hard plumbing it all the way which I don't want to do either due to the configuration of my system.
