How to Catch a small cleaner wrasse

Well I have a problem.....I have a small cleaner wrasse 3" that has developed an apetite for my Sps. He is mauling my sps like you wouldn't believe. Yes I have checked for bugs & pests and there is no sign of any pests. I have to get him out ASAP. Now i have tried trapping him with a trap(been doing this for 4 nights straight and have caught almost every other fish but him). I have even tried to put a frag in the trap to try to lure him in. THis sucks....any other ideas ???? No I cannot net him....way to small and way to much tank for him to hide..

fortunate mine always went into trap, mine was eating on my nass snails

You could try to fish him out using a small barbless FW hook and some bait. Ive never done it myself but heard of it being done.

i dont know if you do this but perhaps keeping him stuffed would help with picking? I am not sure but I know picking cleaner wrasses eat beefheart like it is going out of style.

get a cup and put some meaty food in it and hold it in the water till he goes in the cup to sample the food worked for me with a damsel

they are pretty elusive fish and very quick

The problem with this is that I have close to 3 dozen fish in this tank and they are all healthy eaters....hmm.....I guess I have to keep trying the trap. The cup idea will attract to many others first. Dam this is hard...

dont feed tank few days and use a gatoraide bottle so other fish wont fit in it. and tie fishing string to end of bottle and snatch it up

Rick I might have to try this idea.....only a few fish can get to this size hole...
