spent all night trying to catch my tanks bully :banghead:
Every fish went into the trap, even snails, except the one.

He was a good fish until I got my chromis a couple friends. Now any fish that comes close to his little cave gets chased away. My poor yellow tang got beat up last night :(

My lights are off now
so I gotta throw in the towel

any tips for tomorrow?

good luck. black caps are notorious for being caught only when you take out all the rock -- in the rock.

oh there was one more tip. one person placed a mirror inside a jar in the tank. the aggressive fish was so busy attacking the reflection in the mirror that it didn't notice the looming net coming from behind. now that's a slick one.

try feeding your fish only in the trap. eventually he'll be the only one not getting food - unless of course he ventures into the trap....

One of the recommended methods by Anthony Calfo is to drain the water from your tank (thereby limiting where the bugger can escape) and then scoop him out. "Most" corals can be left out of water for extended periods of time.

Here's a link to his thread. Hope it helps.

Thanks gil716
that's a great link! If the trap doesn't work tomorrow I'm gonna give the "bag in bag method" a try.
