NeoMarine salt?

Do any of you use NeoMarine salt by Brightwell Aquatics? Supposedly ORA is switching to it as well as some of the other big wigs. Just wanting to see what average reefers experience with it has been.

I used it a couple of times and didnt care for the chemical smell that it gives off when mixing it. It did well as far as the tank is concerned but I went back to Oceanic after using a 50gal mix of the Neo.

Did you test the water at all? I was wondering about calc, ph, etc.

I like it alot, all the parameter was pretty accurate. All my corals seem to love it, a little expensive but a small price to pay when i consider how much goodies i have in my tank. Also trying to open the top to the salt bucket is a pain in the butt.

What are you paying for it out east? How is it compared to Oceanic price wise? Buddy of mine just got his wholesale account with them, so I can get a bucket for $40.

Thats cheaper than a bucket of Oceanic , out here. At Aqua Hut( which is the cheapest place on the island for dry goods!) the Brightwells is like 55 a bucket and Oceanic is $50 for the 200 gal mix.

Cool, $40 is not what he is going to sell it for, but, I will get a special discount, lol.

Anyone else using it? How did the corals react when you switched.

Do you gradually switch from one salt to another -blending the two for awhile, or go cold turkey and switch?

I went cold turkey lol I just tried it cause it was new. I started with Oceanic, stuck with it for almost a year, then tried the brightwells, then Oceanic, then tried Red Sea coral Pro and then went back to Oceanic lol. I just cant stray away from the Oceanic for some reason. Its been workin from the start and my levels stay in check, especially since I started using Kalkwasser in my ATO

Try ESV, mixes fast and clear. My tank is loving it.

i use it and love it buy mag is low only thing that is bad about jmo
