Weld on 4 Acrylic Repair and crack marks

Hello I just applied weld on 4 to repair my cracked cpr bak pak and it appears to be leaving crack marks everywhere.. Is there something wrong or is this normal? I am attempting to apply a another sheet of acrylic to patch the crack. Did I put too much weld on 4 thats why cracking marks are appearing?

Is crazing really bad? Can it be repaired by applying weld on 4 on top of it?

from what I've read crazing occurs in area in high stress, normally precedes fracturing and can be caused by try to weld acrylic which has been heated treated or edge polished. i'd stop using the weld-on and apply some aquarium safe silicon.

I just brought a new CPR Bak pak 2r just now.... Some one can use this as a in tank skimmer.... Maybe I will set up a 10 gallon tank.
