Ok so I got this acan frag (my first one) at the fall swap. It has grown a bunch since then and when I changed my bulbs to phoenix bulbs they really colored up. But something weird happened that I just noticed today. They are red acans. Today when I fed the tank I look at them and I see this gold/green polyp... Can they morph colors or did I just get a baby gold head and not realize until now?

Sometimes on Acans or I should say most of the times, The new heads will not be the exact colors of the colony. When it grows it will color up into the regular colors

It is highly unlikely, but you also said you switched your bublbs and is this the first new head under the bulbs? I have an Orange colony of Acans and all the heads come out green as babies, but always color up to the colony colors.

I actually don't know if its a new head, I just never saw it. It's located on the side and for the past 2 weeks I have been focused on my SPS because a few pieces started to bleach under the new bulbs.
