Need some help removing leather

I have heard that leathers release toxins into the water which is bad for sps.he is also getting alil big for my nano.. So im thinking about removing this guy from my tank but not exactly sure how. removing rock is a pain since i have a bunch of othe corals on same rock.. so is it okay ot slice him with razor in water? how close to i cut him from rock? and i am wondering about any extra flesh left on rock. wil it regrow?

i think itll grow back if you leave something in the rock ........ best thing to do is cut the rock .....

cut it close to the rock. then use some ic gel to cover the remaining coral. you will have to pull the rock out of the water tho

i just pulled him off.. he came off pretty easily.. he just left behind a thin layer of skin on the rock.. will that grow u think? if so.. can i but a layer of putty over it or ic gel it all?

I cut a leather off of my rock and it left a little chunk and it eventually just withered away and was eaten by hermits/snails and the rest just crumbled off.
