I have added Cupramine to my QT for a few days now. By instruction, I need to redose every other day for 14 days (7 times). But I found that the copper concentration kept in .5ppm for 4 days (I tested it with the seachem test kit). My question is that should I redose every other day even though the concentration didn't go down?

It's also good to do a water change. I setup a 5g bucket and did the first day dose. So long as you take out equal amounts of water then the amount of copper will remain the same.

Dom does copper leech in to plastic? Should I label the bucket as copper only??

Hi Brandon,

Its possible so I would. Seachem claims cupramine is easily removed from a system unlike other coppers and I have removed it from tanks in the past and kept corals in them afterwards but its not worth the risk IMO.
