Red Slime ID?

I am getting some red slime on my sand bed.
Can anyone ID it?
I also looks like there is a lot of gas bubbles developing in the sand.
Any advise on how to get rid of it?

it's called cyano!it's usually associated with higher phosphate levels.test your phosphate and see how high it is.:smile:

I will check on my Phosphates.
Assuming it is high how do I lower them?
Water changes, reduce feeding and ?

Gfo, Rodi water, and feeding less all help

Also check the age on your Lighting. although some of the causes have been given, other causes can be low flow and old bulbs.

I have new LEDs so I don't think that is the problem.
