Just wanted to post a huge thank you to Ecotech Marine for their fantastic and impeccable customer service. My short story is, over the weekend I performed a waterchange, and in haste I thought I'll clean the wet side of one of my MP40WEs' wet side. Idiotically, I just grabbed the wet side and detached it from the motor, and plunk! the motor goes into 20g of newly made saltwater. I quickly rinsed off the motor with fresh water and let it dry over night. Next day I plug it back in and the driver is rainbowing like skittles. So I filled out the repair form and sent it back Monday night, waiting to hear the cost of repair and knowing it would be the inevitable for my stupidity. It arrived at Bethlehem, PA yesterday @ 10:30am. Today @ 2pm, I receive a package from Ecotech, low and behold - they replaced the motor side and wet side with my original driver (under 1 year warranty). Customer service like that is far and few nowadays. Mega kudos to you! You further reaffirm my decision as to why I have 4 Vortechs.

MR readers: If you're sitting on the fence about getting a Vortech, I hope this post can serve you with your decision making to get one. Thanks for reading.

Note to self: Yes, I will now attach the included adhesive anchors and tie wraps to my tank; even though I didn't want to stick it on the rimless. I've learned my lesson. Thanks much again.

Yes they have awesome customer service! Its sad that companies like Digital Aquatics has the worst customer service ever!

Incidentally, on the same visit to The UPS Store to send out the Vortech, I also sent out my DA Salinity Probe. Let's see how long that'll take... and DA issued an RMA for it, oppose to Ecotech's "just send it in and we'll take care of it for you" approach.

DA seems to be lacking as of the last couple of years. Ecotech is awesome!

Yeah, I actually saw that possibility happening to me so I put on the adhesives with zip ties as one of the first things I did. Instead of plunking into water, I was more afraid of the metal motor swinging and hitting onto my glass tank.
