Acan feeding

Quick question. I have a couple acan frags. Puff up nicely every day, but feeding tentacles are out all day. I feed spot feed 1-2 a day mysis for them all. My questions are... How often do you feed your acans? Just because the feeding tentacles are out, does it mean it's hungry? Can you over feed them? Are their feeder tentacles being out all the time normal?

One of my frags does this. Some people have told me that it just means they are healthy. It slowly stopped doing this over a few months though, now they look much better.

I have a few that are out all day and others that are only open at night. But all are growing new heads and are full of color and fat

Yup, mine look just like that bigcapct. Granted i did only just put my new frags in on Sunday, still since then, I feed them, they eat, a lot, then once done, open the tentacles again and look for food...

I glued this frag here and they do same thing now too day/night but im getting crazy growth

Mine only open when the light is dim or off. About 15 minutes after I feed they are back open. I noticed that those posting pictures of open tentacles had a very blue actinic color. Could it be that the acans see it as low light and therefore open up?

My actinics just happend to be only lights on when I took the pix lastnight but they are out with the daylights on the same way too

Either it's 2 in the morning with the moon lights on, the morning or night with only actinics, or middle of the day with all bulbs on, they are open
