i was just at reef encounters in hackensack nj and i saw this awesome led light..they just got it in i think last week and it is a little pricy but after they demoed the unit for me i was no longer worryed about the price it is all digital and well i can explain it ..you have to get there or somewhere else where they have this light and let them demo it for you ..you will love it....i love the lightning storm effect......google it...

whats the price ? how many gal tank will it work for ? what is it equivalent to in Metal halides ? 250 or 400 ?

I checked out a video on youtube. My first thought is that all these lighting modes on the leds are gimmicky. Besides sunrise and sunset do you really need all those other modes? Who really needs a thunderstorm? And why pay for it?

the price is i think 1600 for a 48 inch fixture...the you tube video's dont do the light justice...if you see it in person it kind of sells itself...imo....the fixture is clean ,thin,and toltally programable so you can set it and forget it ....i just saw it at my lfs and thought i would share with everyone....im thinking of getting the 36 inch for my 70 tec tank...if i do i will post everything about the light....
