That's definitely a well thought out system. From the plumbing returns I assume you're going to have a sandbed to cover the pipes? What pumps are you using for the loop and return? What skimmer are you going to use? Looks like it's going to be a kick a$$ tank!

I think the vent hole will have problems "venting" since the water that is going horizontal will essentially block any air from getting down the down tube. Unless the flow thru it is not to fast or great to use the entire tube. Very interesting tho and I would like to know how it turns out.

i think the durso looks different because the tee is supposed to be layed horizantally not vertically like it is, followe by an elbow pointing down on the end with a end cap on the top.....does that sound right???

i still don't see how there might be a problem having it setup the way rickink has it set up.
