I have a pair of g.s maroon clowns which laid eggs last thursday. I think the eggs are getting ready to hatch as they look silvery with a reflective silver dot.
The only problem is the eggs were laid on the overflow box of my reef tank.
does anyone have any idea how i can save these eggs and try to raise the fry.
can i siphon the eggs right off the overflow and put them in another holding tank?

wait till they hatch should be real soon, shine a mag light on the top of the water surface and then siphon them off

what happens if i siphon the eggs into a separate tank and let them hatch there

i have experience with convict eggs, lots of experience, i wouldnt touch them until they hatch and even when they are fry and you try to move them the death rate will increase, the fish will get stressed parents and fry so just leave in there, and put a screen over yr over flow, a very fine one.

if you want to be extra safe, take any other fish out

I have no way to put a screen over the overflow and to many other fishes to take out
