I dont have any more room for a calcium reactor in my stand but i have alot of room up in my canopy.so you think it would work if i put the reactor and co2 up there with the lines running down into my sump.it will be around 6ft of line going into the sump

I had pro cal mounted on a shelf next to the tank it worked fine bu the line that filled the reactor with tank water had to be in the tank So gravity would allow the syphon to work

Hi Jim
I gravity feed my reactor which wouldn't work with it in the canopy. You would need an Aqua Lifter pump. It would pull water from the tank and feed the reactor. I can't see any reason the 6ft drop to the sump would cause an issue.
Have fun

It doesn't go into the water, it would sit next to the reactor. It would have a piece of tubing pulling water out and then it would send that water into the reactor. It kinda looks like an air pump> If you are having any problems drop by the store on Sunday

Something about a co2 tank in a canopy worries me. Please make sure it is chain or tied up to prevent an accident by it falling...and possibly shooting off like a rocket if the solenoid breaks

Its a circulation pump.. which means it keeps the water in the reactor circulating in itself (mixing to make the co2 and media well mixed), but you still need a feed pump to push water into the reactor, and from that pressure, there will be some water exiting the reactor into your sump for dosing.
I would suggest to just T it off from your return pump so you don't need to add another pump, and a return pump is usually stronger so will be less issues with the pump clogging or too much pressure for the pump to handle if you have a valve installed after the T
