Frag Swap = Pest Swap?

Just concerned about pest going from one person to the next without knowledge of whats being passed along. Not to mention the headache that comes with trying to get rid of the pests, that one may or may not acquire. Last time Shaun and myself tried to get the information on the pest's out but for the most part it seemed unsuccessful. Just about one person came to check out their frags. Last time we tried this Shaun came prepared with Flatworm Exit and Interceptor pills, ready to treat anything that may have needed it. Sadly none of that stuff got used. I was just thinking, since I'm having reoccuring problems that a lot of us don't take the neccesary measures to keep pests out of our tank(s).

Last time we attempted to set up a station, I think we may have waited a little to late to get things going. I figure if we start now maybe, just maybe, we can raise more awareness about pests. In that case having more people go home happy and staying happy . I didn't know what any of the pest's were until I brought them home and had them in the tank. I learned the hard way but everyone else doesn't have to.

I'd be more than willing to help set up the "station", if it seems that its going to be worthwhile to do. It'll take at most a few minutes of your time and it would probably one of the best things you could do before going home.

It was Shaun for the most part, with me joining him in short spurts in the corner next to the auction table. If we do it this time I'll bring a sign .

He was in the corner with the handy dandy flashlight.

Great idea if people are willing to be posted at a station.
You can also charge a small fee.....to cover supplies (Flatworm Exit and Interceptor pills) or for donations to the site.

Shaun was helpful / patient & I kept thanking him.

He is indeed right, we had a pest station, I made a big announcement to everybody at the swap and only two people used mine and Kris' services! I even handed out pictures and summaries of the known pests and how you deal with them.

When I came home and check my frags from the day (I didn't have time during the actual swap) they were covered in redbugs and flatworms. So I also must stress that:
FRAGSWAP = PEST SWAP

But if you come to the PEST REMOVAL STATION that doesn't have to be so.

I am accepting applications for junior killers at the present time. Please submit:
1. A picture of your favorite killing device.
2. A picture of your joy when killing pests.
3. A list of meds to use against various pests.
