Lights On

My lights stayed on for 3 days and now some of my SPS have lost color and bleached a little. Has anyone experience this issue? Will they heal over time or should I leave the lights off for a couple of days?

this happened to Pauliwalnuts just recently. he said he lost like 50% of his SPS. i don't keep SPS so i can't offer any guidance based on experience, but i've got to think a reduced light schedule rather than completely off is better..

If the skin/tissue is still there, they will color back up.

What type of lights? Did your timer fail?

I would lower the photo cycle for a week like down to 2-4hrs instead of 6-8hrs

Its 150x2 MH....I set my controller to on to turn on lights early and forgot to put it back on Auto.

Lowered it about 1 hour but will try longer..Thanks

At the base of some SPS it looks bleached and possibly dead. The rest of it is still alive so I assume it should heal over the dead base?
