anemone feeding

I just got a cinnamon bulb anemone, And i'm not really clear on how to feed it...one site say to feed it 3times to every two weeks some pieces of raw shrimp or silver sides. Now if this is correct, do i put the food in the center of the anemone? My anemone is hosted, does this matter for feeding the anemone?

just put the shrimp/silverside right in the middle of it ,,but if ur anenome is small dont put a big piece or it will float away.. and u will see the anenome grab hold of it ,,and food will dissapear slowly

ABout a year ago I started feeding my Anemones pellets. I have a long clear small tube that I place right near the mouth of the anemone( 1/2 above it) and i drop 4-8 pellets in the tube and it travels nicely down the tube and right to Anemone. I used to feed silversides and table shrimp now that is done once a month. All my anemones have taken to the pellets. Mini-carpets, haddonis, long tentacle, and bubbles.

I used to feed mine and make sure that it got into the center or at least in the tentacles. Now if I just put a piece of shrimp etc. into the tank, the maroon clown will grab it and take it to the anemone, no problem.

Really? man i going to have to try that! that would be awesome to see!

I mean can you imagine how it came about, that a clown would feed a anemone! just plain awesome!

how did u get them use to pellets..??

I just started feeding them formula one pellets and right off the bat everyone of them eat them. The large pellet. I guess I got lucky but the person that told me to do this has been feeding his pellets longer than I have been in this hobby and they are thriving, beautifully colored,and very large specimens.

I feed mine scallops soaked in vitamins and tank water. Never see mine poop.

My anemones eat pellets and flakes too
