skimmer reccomendation

this is more my point with skimmers like i said i have owned alot and used alot, and have had the upper end skimmers as well. and just like the rep's at macna couldnt justify the cost of the deltec to me per performance compared to other skimmers, will say the material is thicker on higher end but so is it on the vertex which isnt a expensive skimmer but if you add a really good pump there goes a few hundred added to the price. performance is performance reguardless of price or name,

I have the vertex alpha 250 although not a bubbleking but still pricey and made imo better than a reef octo

I like my Deltec SC2060, it was worth the money even though I was considering a Vertex in280 but then paid like $100 less for the Deltec although it was used compared to the Vertex that would have been new

Rick, that skimmer looks cool and looks like it will work well but it seems to have an enormous footprint

quit swinging, and cheap is a marineland or a seaclone or a coralife. and btw i have 2 fishbowls and a reef with all the gadgets

and pauli knew what it was just not model. like i said i have nothing against the higher costing skimmer's if i could get one cheap i would also btwi just passed on a deltec
