How old is this tank?

They look like Spirorbid worms - which are a tiny little feather duster. I'd guess since you started to add calcium they can now build their little tubes.

Google the pics of them and I'm sure you will see some clear pics of them,

Just scrape them off. They are most commonly seen in newer tanks.

If you look dead center at your pic - at about 3 o'clock you have a small purple-ish spot - THAT is the beginning of coralline algae.
The white dots are spirorbid worms :)

Can you tell us how long the tank had been up?

White dots

Do the white dots have spiral ridges or are they flat like a disc. If they are flat like a disc look close at them from behind the glass. If you see small yellow eggs in there they are snails. Check out this link. I have them in my tank, they are about an 1/8 inch long and in my tank they are snail eggs. Dosing calcium may have given you the right chemistry for your snails to reproduce. They will lay these egg pods everywhere.

Check out this link.

i have an enormous amount of these in my tank and i havent seen anything come of them yet. some of them though look as though there is something gestating inside of them. i have some on the side of my tank and when i look through its almost like looking at a chicken inside of an egg.
