Well zany honestly it all depends on what kind of ceilings you have. Also how heavy is the fixture.

For example:
Drywall ceilings- Use toggle bolts
Wood celings- Drill straight in a foundation beam w/ the proper screws.

Hope I helped in some way with your question.

I believe it's not drywall and awaiting the fixture in a couple of days.It has such a nice look but never attempted such a thing.Maybe I can get someone to help me with this project? The ceiling is possibly concrete.

I have my fixture hung on the ceiling its very safe. I really doubt your ceiling is concrete but if it is then go to home depot and look for drill bits that drill into concrete and screw the hooks into the ceiling. But if its sheetrock then look for a stud on the ceiling. its very simple ( Do you how much does the fixture weighs)

its is prolly plaster, if it feels like concrete. you will want to make sure you use a molly. They have been included in every hanging kits i have put up (4). this is only if you cant find a stud, like fcamargo6th said.

It really is easy stuff, dont be worried.
