So - I need some advice.
Over the past year, I have had 4 "jumpers" out of my tank. One was my 6 year old purple Dottyback. Then my clown fish, then my two bottom dwelling gobies...the last one this morning.
I cannot figure it out. I have nothing aggressive in my tank.

Fishwise - bicolored blenny, basslet, little pygmy red goby - well, and that's it now.

Plus...they need to jump through my egg shell top which covers the tank. the holes are 1/4in square at most on my 34GSolana.

I had glass,but it cracked...maybe I should try again?

Where do I buy the replaced glass?

I hate seeing my guys laying on the floor in the morning...and it's always overnight they take the plunge???

Thanks,
Navy

since your fish are small i would make sure you go with 1/4" screen mesh. You can buy a large roll from some homedepots or purchase from a guy on ebay and you can give him the measurements. BulkreefSupply is another option.

Thanks for the pic...is this metal? Doesn't it interfere with the water quality or rust?
How is it attached. I have something similar but, it's plastic egg crate from Home Depot. it's only 1/4" like yours.

The fish are not that small...I mean, they needed to hit the hole directly to jump out...I still think it's weird.

The frame is aluminum window frame from home depot along with the brackets. I ordered the 1/4" netting from bulk reef supply. You can buy the frame, brackets, and wiring from home depot or lowes or can order from bulk reef supply. Here are the links of what you would need.

Window frame:

1/4" Netting

Window frame brackets:

Window spline to attach netting to frame:
http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/store/spline-for-window-frame-diy-aquarium-tops.html

Spline roller if you don't have one:

Cheaper I think to get the frame supplies from home depot or lowes because the frame here is sold by 2' lengths. I think a 8' lenght was about 4$ at the stores.
I would get the frame pieces at lowes or home depot and just buy netting.
