I think this year I am not going to run the chiller to save a couple bucks I keep the house at 70 degrees so mabey I just run some fans sound like a good idea?

I would imagine cooling a tank alone is cheaper then cooling the house+tank unless your house isn't much bigger then the tank.
Also, just leave the chiller on the controller, and cool your house. Your chiller won't turn on unless the controller senses its above a certain temperature. The controller will determine if you need to chill or not based on the set temperature you have it turn on.

What kind of fan? One of those cheap clip ons? Thinking about my cooling options.

IMO, 70* house temp is not necessary ... 'air conditioned' air in the high 70s is very comfortable, and will also save a couple of bucks.

there will be some really hot days last summer we had 20+ days were it was over 95 degrees so a chillere was the only way to go for me but i have friends who just did fans and it worked fine for them

I have a basement sump, and I run a chiller in the summer. piece of mind is great. 79F steady as a rock. ( wasnt always so steady)

The chiller was one of those things, I used it a few months I realized I will never be without one in the summer again.
