Why doesn't my automatic shut off valve work on my RO?

As the titile states, my ASOV on my RO was not working. I bought a new one, put it on, and this one is not working. Could it be I don't have enough water pressure? I have a well and the pump kicks on @40 psi, and builds up to 50-55 psi. Trying to set up my ATO with a float valve.

Are you sure you installed it correctly? Once the float valve goes up, pressure will build up on 1 side of the ASOV and then it will shut off the other side which should be the feed water

what asov do u have? i had the kent and it was nothing but trouble. using the spetrapure now.

Sometimes there's air trapped in the ASOV preventing it from working properly. But check valve is definitely a must, ASOV doesn't work with it.

I do have a check valve. The ASOV itself is from Air Water & Ice. Trapped air makes sense especially after installing the new one.
