Return pump ?

I need a new return pump mine started making crazy amount
of noise woke me up last night ! It was still working but I didn't want it to burn out in the tank last time that happened all my sps lost their color!
I have a 75 gal I think the pump I have now was 700 gph it IMO is not enough !
My question is can I use my mag 12 from my skimmer as my return pump for a week until I can get a mag 9 for my return
Or should I get another mag 12 one for return one for skimmer ? I'm thinking that would be over kill!

Btw it only has to pump about 4 feet

why not try a waterblaster 3000. great pump and should provide more than enough water flow without the heat.

Soo turns out my return nozzle was 99.9 % clogged with a mix of sand and small bits of cheto I'm guessing this has been hindering may water turn over rate for some time ?
I wonder if this might be the reason for my seemingly unbeatable ha problem ?
Couldn't believe how clogged this thing was had to really chisel the crap out with a knife !
Thankfull I don't need a new pump and hopping that by fixing this my tank gets better

Honestly mag drives are not that reliable. They get way to hot while running. Honestly if you want a great pump, look into the marineland euro pumps. Small and very strong, extremely quiet, and very reliable.
