I thought I saw a post recently that said that any and all discussions about LFS would be deleted due to all the drama that surrounds those discussions.

I'm not looking to create any additional drama but perhaps get a clarification. The recent thread for Tropic Island is 2 pages long and still up? To me this is a thread on a LFS and should fall under the rule no? NOTHING against Mike as I am in there from time to time and it is a very nice place.

I ask as I have wanted to throw out props to a few local stores but haven't as I did not want to break the rules.

Is it possible to get a clarification on this?

Not all LFS store threads are being deleted.

There were 2 issues here - the thread you mention was posted in the wrong forum. It should have been posted under 'Regional Reefs - Long Island" (I just moved it which will cause it to fall back into that forum as it filters down the General Discussion forum)
(Threads regarding site Vendors should be posted/started in that particular Vendors Forum)

This is a thread on a particular store, not a thread in general about LFS's on LI which is where we are currently having issues.

The reasoning behind not currently permitting an open thread on LI LFS's is the postings recently by the owners of a few of those stores under the guise of being 'regular members' with no 'special interest' in the store/s they are posting about.

Until we identify those people - for certain - we are not allowing an open discussion thread regarding LI LFS's.
