summers comin , maybe fans. It doesnt look like you would need a chiller.

I never use filter socks.

ato is a big one also.

That's for reply,
Fans for my light? I'm hanging the fixture, do u think I may still need fans? I have the tek elite so it has the 2 and built in, but they are a little weak.

I love my filter socks lol

Which ato do you recommend? I only really looked into the toms aquarium one.

yes, you will need fans unless you can keep whole room ambient temp down 5-10 degree's of wanted tank temp, plus your using a mag drive. internal pump will cause more heat then a external. Not that everyone needs to but i run a chiller and couldn't imagine not having one, also have fans on temp turn on and lights turn off. Nice thing about a controller, also what do you plan to use for phosphate removal ? not to be funny but how do you plan to hang all the lighting ? Love my reef fanatics ato. And a 29g is a taller tank to use for a sump wont leave you much room to mess with anything and harder to get at stuff. How many filter socks do you have ? Build you own stand and if your not good with wood have someone build you a nice furniture stand, one of my mistakes. ro/di unit ?

Thanks rick. The fixture is hung by the tek hanging kit, the dual prong one, not single. The reefbrite and lumens are already mounted on the fixture. The temp in the room is always 72-75%. never had problems with temp in the room with any other tank in the past before. The controller to me Is pointless, if I got one I'd use it mainly for the heater. Phosphate removal...I was planning on maybe just removing the carbon from my nextreef reactor and filling it with phosphate stuff. What do you recommend I do? Get another reactor and will it with what? I'll look into the reef fanatics ato, thanks. Filter socks, I have 6, everyone from saltwater critters, I love their filter socks 10x better then any sock. And for the sump, I will say, so far I DON'T have the 29g,I was thinking about getting that.only other tank I would consider would be a 20gH, but hate the fact that it's only 24" long. I wish there was a tank 30x12x16. And yes, Rodi unit. Got one, would die without it.

Ryan,

Is the mag 7 from the 46? Consider the Euro Utility 1800 as a return - I just put one on a 72g bowfront and it pushes a good amount of water from in the sump (+/- 4')

That would save on heat and give you a good saltwater mixing pump with that Mag 7 :)

House

Hey Jim,
Yes the mag 7 is from 46g bow. Honestly, russ recommended the same one a little while ago. Honestly, that's the only pump I will consider getting next time. I love them, russ sold my friend James one for his 90 and it was so simple yet perfect. I actually think a month or 2 down the road, after I get main things for the tank, I may get that pump and switch over, or keep it on the side for back up until I do a big clean on the sump. Thanks!

Ry,

Give Jeff (Customking) a shout about building you one. I have seen his work and it's SWEET! Jeremy sold me on the Reef Fanatics and air lifter pump for an ATO setup as well as an RK unit which would be a nice addition to that setup, even if you never used all it's features. I should have never stopped by his house Lol. His tank is Mindblowing though :)

That dam guy is like a drug dealer Lol. Always has the goods :) And I mean that in a nice way....

Haha yeah and I'm addicted. He does not even need to tell me a thing about whatever product it is. All he has to do is send me a link and a model number....I said gimme how much! That's exactly how I just got hooked up with the RUBY30S lol.

Ok, I decided to add a few things, but need your help.

My nextreef shorty reactor with esv carbon
Another reactor running a phosphate remover
Another reactor running bio pellets.

For my phosphates, I'm going to use a Synthetic ferric oxide hydroxide, but which do you recommend? Phosban? Rowaphos? Phoszorb? And, should the reactor be filled to the top with it, or lose so it's moving around in the reactor? I'm thinking about getting another nextreef shorty, would that work?

For the bio pellets...well I don't know much about it, but it seems to be growing pretty rapidly. So, I'll give it a shot. First, which pellets? EcoBAK? Vortex? NP? That new company aqua vision aquatics? And, for a reactor...which is a good reactor? I have a pretty new Kent reactor. Looks like this one, but the newer version...

Would that work for the bio pellet reactor, or would it be better to use that for the phosphate remover reactor...and what reactor do you recommend for the bio pellets?

And would the marine land euro 400 work for both of those reactors?
