Looks very nice, clean, and healthy. I like the lighting...what is it? 1 suggestion though, you should either lower your aquascaping or remove a few pieces of rock. I made that mistake when I first setup my tank. It only ook a few months before the SPS were hitting the top of the water.
Anyway, keep up the good work!

Hey Tom,
the tank looks cool. As stuff fills in you'll have more options in aquascaping. I like the light too.
some of your rocks have interesting shapes as well. If you took some out as Rich said you could make some great caves and ledges.

Actually I was sort on salt so I was messing with the elbow overflow to drain water lower.. I did't have it all the way to the top of the tank. That should give me at least 5 more inches. Unless that is still too little.

The light on that setup is 2 175 XM Metal Halide, with 2 T5 Aqua Blue Plus. The thing about those blue plus is that its not giving my zoo and other coral enough actinic. So I will have to remove one of them and add an T5 Actinic blub on.

I did get a mandarin. Jose gave me one from his tank.
he's a bit skinny, but I think he'll be okay. I know there's plenty for him to eat in my tank. we named him after Jose

nydiver, yea they are all liverock. There is like 40 lbs of kaelini and 40 lbs of figi. I was broke after I bought them, but they really add color and shape to the tank.

ReeferMan, Can't wait till that day..

Its covering my candy cane...
OUt of all things, that is my worst fear. Bryopsis. The #1 thing that i inspect corals for. That stuff is no joke. If its only on 1 rock, throw it in the garbage and dont look back. Trust me

With all these inverts/snail/slug it's hit or miss if they'll eat any of those algaes. I had a emerald that would eat the green bubble aglae and other that wouldn't even touch it. Some time it's just best, if you can, to remove it by hand or using a tooth brush.
