How many people change RO/DI filters before showing TDS

I have a problem changing out my filters before they show any tds and thought maybe i am crazy. but maybe there are people like me!!! When the prefilter gets rusty I change, when carbon gets light brown I change and when the resin gets brown 1/4 way from bottom I change. I seen people wait till were things are black and I think there nuts, I know we have great water in NY. I always think when something is wrong I blame myself for not changing the filters.
Who else changes them alot like me?

not me..I don't change them out until there is a drop in pressure or a TDS reading of 2

I change the sediment filter every two months and the other two every 3 months no matter what membrane and DI every 8 months. they cheap anyway. It's better then spending money on removing algae or other water related issue ;-)

I changed when the pressure goes down and less RO is getting produced. Thats usually when the sediment filter is pretty nasty solid brown but the TDS is still zero

Please don't take this the wrong way but I don't understand the logic in changing RO/DI elements every X amount of months if you have an inline TDS meter....

I have my RO/DI system in the basement and the output is connected to a HM Digital Dual TDS meter. When the reading goes from 0ppm to 1ppm, I change both resin chambers and the three filter elements. Typically, this change takes about 11-12 months.

Every 2 years I change the RO/DI membrane.

If you see 0ppm, then why would you go through the trouble of changing your elements? If you say you do it because, for example, that you don't trust your TDS meter then why own it...?

Maybe I'm missing something here???

I guess it all depends where u live.since my move to jersey from midtown I see I go through filters very fast when I was in midtown I used to wait till I got to 3 or 4 now since the move I change them around 2

i live in nyc and my 1 micron sediment filter turns dark brown over night and my carbon 5 micron and 1 micron get to clogged up after about 300 gallons of water i get 0 pressure to the ro unit with a 125 psi booster pump. i really want to call the DEP and complain because this is NYC and the water quality is supposed to be the best yet its worse then well water

Depending on the quality of the water to start and how much you run through it that's entirely possible. Someone with well water likely wouldn't be able to do the same..

the reason is: I water change about 200gals a month on my 2 sytems and top off is about 10gals+ a day. I think its more A issue with i dont trust any meter that does not get claibrated and also a feeling that when I see something wrong i might have tds going into the tank. I dont change ever month but like every 3 months so it does seem like alot of water on those flters
