I've been batteling dinos for few weeks done plenty of water changes my corals which looked good in the past look like crap ! Does it ever make sense to just leave the tank alone and let it recover on it's own ?
And believe me all the things that will be recommended I've done I take good care of my tank !

In general, yes it is a good idea to leave the tank to its own devices and let things run its course provided there isn't a total wipeout on the horizon. Dinoflagellates are really tough to combat, but the outbreaks do seem to crash eventually on their own if you can ride it out long enough. I think the best you can really do with them is keep water parameters as pristine as you can, siphon out the larger Dino mats where possible and try turning the lights off for 2-3 days which should help "break the back " of the out break by tipping the environmental factors against them.

I think most of the problems people encounter with their tanks can be traced back to their own constant poking and prodding. Everyone starts out wanting to work on the tank as much as possible and that's never good. Some of the best advice I ever got when I was starting out was to monitor the tank closely but avoid screwing with it all the time. Most of the time the best way to fix the problem is to start with the least invasive approach and go from there.

In this instance I would go with Randy and make sure the water is really where it's supposed to be and turn off the lights for a few days.
