Damn! Do they eat from the base? Do they eat other palys or just zoas? I have been looking around in the tank to see if i see any eggs. I dont have too many zoas, most are on plugs that I can take out. One is a larger rock.

I will have to go tomorrow and get the dip. will LFS have it?

LFS should have it.
They tend to eat...the best looking zoas (seriously). They didn't eat the typical ulgy greens palys in my tank (oh well lol)
But they do not eat any other corals, so there is an upside!

I was just looking at your tank thread (very nice btw! :)) and I saw a bunch of your zoas were closed. That could have just been from taking the pics, but you want to look at the zoas that are closed when they should be open (they do their damage at night mostly)
You might want to compare some of those pics to what the zoas look like now and see what is missing. If you are lucky, then you may have just recently gotten the nudis in on a frag and haven't lost much (yet).

Dip them ALL, and leave on your sandbed til you get the chance to dip them again..then you can probably safely glue them back to your rock-work.

The Nudis are a pita, but you can beat them :) ..and do always dip when you get new frags ;)

All of my zoas have been looking great and all open! When I took those pics they must have just been closed when I was taking pics. I was just saying to my wife how well everything looks and nice and open.....

I will keep looking.

I did find damn eggs, but on polyps that I cannot get out. I tried to use a small knife to try to scrap them off, used the back of the blade. But it broke.. I hope that I didnt just send them all into my tank... :(

Before the iodine dip, try a RODI dip. Cheaper and just as effective. The nudis will jump off into the dip bucket. While it's in your dip, blast if with a powerhead. This will get as many of them off as possible. Get a yellow Corris wrasse instead of a 6 line if you are going to put a wrasse in the DT. They are way less aggressive. GL.

Hmmm can you do a RODI with Lugol dip???

Never tried and wouldn't suggest it. Only reason I suggest RODI, is Lugols is some pretty gnarly stuff. The iodine works very well, but too much can be a problem. I've had less trouble with the RODI dips when it comes to zoanthids and palythoas.

LPS and SPS on the other hand, no RODI dip.
