I'm going to be switching to esv salt in the very near future what is the process? Do I need to do smaller water changes more frequent less frequent? I usualy do 35 gallons every two weeks on a 100 gallon total water system. I guess dosing will have to change as well ? I'm currently using a cheaper salt.

I don't know if that is a correct way to do it, but when I switched to ESV salt I just stopped using RC and did the weekly water change of 10% with new salt. I thought "It's only 10% of total volume" and the transition went smoothly. But that's for a 57g tank and 7.5 gal water change, in your case I would do 18g water change weekly for some time and then go back to your usual schedule.

+1...
I was using a mix of RC and Oceanic...1st use of ESV was a water change of 100g in a 600g+ system (~400g actual volume), and am currently changing 50g weekly.

so u go through like a bucket a month!? geez that's a lot!

Yeah, 200g box a month!!!...luckily my accountant claims my fish as dependents! :Yikes:... on the bright side, I have a LOT of measuring cups, for sale!

I use the 50g of 'old' water, for water change in my 300g QT system, and the (now) 100G+ system for my grandson
