What have ou done to feed your addiction

Ive been reading some threads of people selling there personal items to feed there addictions to corals.What have you done to buy some livestock or even equipment.Ive traveled into the Bronx from my house at 12am to get a good deal on a pump and a bag of sand when i first got into the hobby.it was a hour drive to and hour home.Makes me feel sometimes like a drug addict LOL...

one hour?I travel longer to work!LOL......I dived two times to Pennsylvania to That Fish Place!Man that was some addiction fix.LOL....

When i first started this hobby, i planned a vacation to maryland with the family, knowing in the back of my mind i was going to visit pacific east to pick out some live rocks

I scheduled fake, 2 hour meetings in Westchester so I can check out Greenwich Aquaria & HOF.

I work in Oceanside, which is pretty close to Queens on the south shore of LI. I pretty regularly tell my boss I need to go pick up materials in Suffolk... Then I stop at like five reef stores between my shop and our suppliers in Farmingdale.

I've absolutely lied about working late to check out a shop or two and I'm always sneaking things into the tank but I guess the most ridiculous thing was having things shipped to my buddies house so my wife didn't see how much I spent. Oh and writing 5.00 in black marker on the bags of coral I bring home sometimes and pretending that's how much it costs

Wow u guys are sick!

When I was first starting I took a week off from work due to "personal issues" at home to set-up my tank and build my stand lol.

I also have a couple "floods" in my apt every now and then to catch LFS open

lol you guys lie I take my woman and kid on my excursions I say this is family time and we are all going , I even make her drive. Try wearing some PANTS gentlemen! We go everywhere, I even had her go with me out to peekskill from queens to help me breakdown and move a tank. Best advice I can give is get your woman into the tank let her pick out corals and fish and enjoy it like you do. She HATED the tanks at first. "Oh great we're going to pick up more fish $#!t!" lmao now she wants her own tank and has her hands in it all the time moving stuff she even feeds my corals and fish w/ the turkey baster some times.

i went to boston just to pick up a free arowana..... 4hrs there spent 45 min to catch the fish then 4 hrs back

Drove through some torrential rain and horrific traffic on the BQE, Staten Island Expressway and local roads in NJ to pick up a tank.

The girlfriend was not impressed, but now she has her "nemos" in the bedroom and can say good morning and good night to them from bed. LOL

I drove 2 hours and a half to PA to pick up my 210 a year before I actually set it up. Awesome to get stuck in rain and traffic with it while having the tank and stand in the van and the canopy strapped to the top thinking it would fly off when we picked up speed lol but it wad too good of a deal to pass on so I had to do it if I ever wanted to upgrade
